Central Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (CDHM), Tribhuvan University organized a special CDHM Webinar session on “Taking Everest meteorology to new heights: initial insights from the world’s highest weather data” on June 04, 2020. All together 156 people from 12 different countries (Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, China, Netherland, UK, Japan, Ethiopia, South Korea, Myanmar and USA) including world’s renowned scientists’ working in the field of Weather and Climate participated in the program.

Two climate scientists Prof. Baker Perry and Dr. Tom Matthews, who had scaled the Mt. Everest last year to install the world’s highest weather station at 8430 m asl, along with Dr. Aurora Elmore were the speakers who also shared their experiences climbing the world’s highest mountain.
